After a little
Hot vs Clever discussion was sparked again, Lifelounge thought it was time to end the argument. Because there is no argument. Duh. Hot people are not always dumb, less attractive people are not always smart, people who wear glasses don't always know HTML trickery. Begone, stereotypes!
Our poster girl is the delectable Natalie Portman, who has the face to start wars and the brains to end them.
[Disclaimer: we focused on book smarts (ie: university and stuff) but we understand that there are a billion other kinds of smart and we're sure your favourite celebrity is clever in his/her own way. Unless your favourite celebrity is the Slap-Chop/wife-beater guy.]
Natalie Portman
Finished high school with an average 4.0 GPA (that's good). Has a psychology degree from Harvard University and studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She speaks Hebrew, French and Japanese fluently. She's funny too:
James Franco
Received an undergraduate degree in English from UCLA, studied at Columbia University's MFA Writing Program and film-making at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Franco has since been accepted into Yale's Ph.D. program in English. That means he's going to be Doctor Franco. Swoon.
Thandi Newton
Studied anthropology and won a scholarship at 11-years-old to an art school. She's also cool enough to read a porn script on live television:
George Clooney
Attended both Northern Kentucky University and The University of Cincinnati where he majored in broadcasting (but rumours abound that he was kicked out for being a drunky-drunk). Philanthropist, actor, director, dreamboat, George Clooney also makes documentaries to raise awareness about international crises. But he's not awesome at the Chicken Dance:
Rachel Weisz
Just a casual degree in English Literature from fancy university Cambridge. Not bad when paired with this:
Matt Damon
Majored in English at Harvard and is also a screenwriter and philanthropist. He created Project Greenlight and he brings the LOLs:
Jennifer Connelly
She studied at Yale and Stanford where she received a degree in English. She's fluent in French and Italian. Extra impressed because she was a child actor:
Alicia Keys
Not a voice of an angel who is adept at tinkering with pianos, Keys graduated high school as valedictorian and received a scholarship to Columbia University in New York. Now she hangs out with Jay-Z; smarts get you places.
Brad Pitt
Studied at the University of Missouri where he majored in journalism and advertising. We bet if he finished his advertising degree he'd have made ads even better than this:
Aishwarya Rai
An A-average student at the Ruparel College, was toying between studying medicine and zoology but ended up majoring in architecture. Lady is also fluent in a bunch of languages including Hindi, Marathi and Tamil. She also totally owned Letterman:
So this makes the list 11 long, but we had to.
Sharon Stone
This lady is a MENSA member. Fact.
