According to documents on the official Star Wars website, Han Solo was once married to a wookie. Yeah, you read that correctly. A wookie.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the (notoriously shit) Star Wars Holiday Special, the website interviewed various people involved with the project. One of those people was screenwriter Lenny Ripps, who had some very interesting recollections. “Lucas started talking about Star Wars as if it was a real world. He said things like, ‘Well, you know Han Solo is married to a Wookie. But we can't say that.'"
While that sounds absolutely bat shit crazy, the Han Solo / wookie romance has been corroborated by the one of the original writers, Pat Proft. According to him, one of the early drafts of the Star Wars script (January 28, 1975) has Han Solo “living with a furry female creature who he kisses.”
So there you go. Han solo was once a Furry and God only knows what George Lucas gets up to in the bedroom.
