Right off the bat, I'm going to start by saying I'm all for individuals living their lives as they wish and that all deserve equal rights regardless of gender, race, sex preference, religion etc. There have been a few times where this ideal in me has been challenged; the most recent being the pregnancy of a Mr Scott Moore. Scott, a 30-year-old transgender male (born Jessica) was artificially inseminated by a male friend in June last year and is due to have a baby boy (whom they've name Miles) this February. It seems you can have your cake and eat it too (so to speak) but it feels a little sneaky, no?

Scott has been taking male hormones since he was 16-years-old and, although he has his 36DDD breasts removed quite some time ago, he has still yet to get downstairs sorted out, which has kind of worked in his favour. His partner Thomas, also transgendered (born as Laura), had his complete gender reassignment and hysterectomy last year.

Unless you happened to be living in an Oprah-free bubble last year you will recall a similar case of a Mr Thomas Beatie who gave birth to a girl last year... same sort of deal. It's an interesting world we live in.

Pictured to the right of this post and some photos of the expecting couple and also Mr Beatie for your amazement.

Interesting as hell. It certainly does raise a few interesting questions. All of which are way too deep to tackle the day after a boozy public holiday.

Like, I wouldn't be surprised if the guy gave birth to a six-pack of Budwieser? Yeah, I know how you feel Mikolai.

Incredible! Wonders never cease. In terms of it being difficult for the kids, I guess it's up to everybody to try to make gay and trangendered families properly accepted. I mean, it wasn't so long ago that African Americans had to drink from separate water fountains, now Obama's president. (Zing! Analogy.)
