Hugh Hefner might seem like a semi-senile, horny, geriatric now, but back in the day, the man was on to something. And while the Playboy bunny is now a badge of the teenage trashbag (who will, undoubtedly, have a 'Bitch on Wheels' sticker on her hatchback) it didn't used to have the same connotations. Or maybe it did, and everything retro just seems so much nicer these days.
Whatever the case, Playboy has gone to shit. The covers in the 50s, 60s and 70s were adorable, a bit clever, and colourful. Somewhere in the late-70s it began to turn slightly, and by the late-80s Playboy covers had gone from super cute girls in kooky outfits and bikinis to drag queens whose faces you can barely see behind all the make-up, gigantic tits, mesh and PVC. Jordan's cover really was quite terrifying.
