Memorable Dance Scenes
Shake off the winter blues and swine flus with a healthy dose of celluloid boogie down to go into the weekend. Lifelounge has put together a collection of the most memorable dance moments ever to hit the silver screen. Feel Good Fridays in full effect. Enjoy.

Dirty Dancing - (1987)
Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray - Nobody puts Baby in a corner. Swayze as the Universe intended and one of the best dance finales ever.

Napoleon Dynamite (2004)
Jon Heder - The movie and the scene that officially put put Jon Heder on the map and spawned an avalanche of counterfeit Vote for Pedro t-shirts worldwide.

Pulp Fiction
(1994)
Uma Thurman & Jon Travolta - probably one of the coolest dance scenes in modern history with Uma looking sexy as Hell and the Jon Travolta comeback that the world had been waiting for. Thank you Mr Tarrantino.

Footloose (1984)
Kevin Bacon - One man and a bit of booze managed to encapsulate teen angst and frustration like never before. Kevin Bacon transforms an old warehouse into an industrial sized dancefloor / gymnasium.

Singing in the Rain (1952)
Gene Kelly - Respect! The man had  badass moves even by today's standards. Seriously untouchable and one of the most memorable dance scenes ever.

Flashdance (1983)
Jennifer Beals - before the L word she owned the role of a daytime welder who just wanted to dance like never before. Sadly this scene has been ripped off so many times it's actually a little offensive.

Saturday Night Fever
(1977)
Jon Travolta - Tony Manero shows the us how to disco Brooklyn style and introduces the world to Jon Travolta on an illuminated dance floor.

Scent of a Woman (1992)
Al Pacino & Gabrielle Anwar - show us that you don't need to be able to see to do the Tango.

West Side Story  (1961)
Dancing gangsters of the 60s. One of the most important all in street dance scenes ever.

Blues Brothers (1980)
With a little help from Ray Charles, Jake, Elwood and a few hundred downtown Chicago locals show us how to do it right

Grease (1978)
Because that prissy little Sandy fucking deserved at and Cha Cha had the baddest moves anyway. Don't get us started on Danny's pink shirt and socks. On fire!

Strictly Ballroom
(1992)
Paul Mecurio & Tara Morice - Introduce Aussie audiences to the Pasa Doble in gold sequence and red satin.

Risky Business
(1983)
Tom Cruise - before we all worked out he was a dick, Tom Cruise was just a spoiled rich kid who had the house to himself for the weekend. Of course he's going to dance in his underwear, drive daddy's Porsche into the river and fall in love with a hooker who ransacks his house...

The Breakfast Club  (1985)
The full cast of TBC pulling out pretty much every form of 80s dance move ever invented from Molly Ringwald's bob step to air guitar strutting by Emilio Estevez it's all in there.

Mary Poppins (1964)
Dick Van Dyke reminds us that the average actor needed to be so much more than an actor in the 60s. Not only does he have to perfect the accent of a cockney chimney sweep but is expected to convincingly dance with animated freaking penguins. Legend!

Breakin' (1984)
Turbo shows us that brooms make for the perfect dance partner.

What? No Goofy Goober dance from Spongebob the Movie? Glaring oversight on an otherwise predictable list.

Legendary! Every single one of them. P.S. Props galore for putting in Mary Poppins! A close second out of the dance sequences in that movie would be 'Step In Time", cockney chimney sweepers jumping over the roofs of London. Wicked. P.P.S Disco Rules.

And what about the Ewoks dancing at the end of The Return OF The Jedi? Not to mention Teri Hatcher's dance in Tango and Cash. Demi Moore in Striptease. Sheesh...

My guess is that you had Lifelounge opened up in its own tab or window and then when you returned you hit refresh. You hit the yes button that appeared under the message saying "Hitting refresh will cause information that you have previously sent to Lifelounge again. You really want to Proceed?". That's how you did it.

i loved strictly ballroom when i was like 5. And was fascinated, jealous, but also maybe a little repulsed that someone could possibly be called 'Tina Sparkle'

Tina SpINkle is a pro-sex advocate. Makes really funky "educational" porn about things like female ejaculation.

Oh, oh, oh, fine, great, you can talk about female ejaculation but I can't reminisce on Teri Hatchi-chi-cher? (Sorry, I've got a stutter)
