Lifelounge guide to depressing TV

Grey's Anatomy

Six Feet Under

The Hills

The Killing

The Sopranos

The Wire
Have you ever dreaded watching a TV show you know you're supposed to love? For some reason 'good' television has come to mean 'soul crushing, no light at the end of the tunnel, unrelenting– OH MY GOD PLEASE MAKE THIS STOP' television.

It's not that you don't enjoy them, it's that each episode feels like your wading through a molasses filled pool of misery. But you don't want to be left behind at the water cooler conversation on Monday morning (do people still do that?)!

Here is the Lifelounge guide to often enjoyable, but ultimately depressing TV shows:

Breaking Bad
CANCER. DRUGS. DEATH. SKYLER.

Six Feet Under

DEATH. GUTS. SEX ADDICTION. SIA.

The Killing

TEENAGERS. MURDER. GRIEF. SWEATERS.

Damages
LAWYERS. BETRAYAL. BLOOD. BECKER.

Games of Thrones

RAPE. BEHEADING. INCEST. SHORT PEOPLE.

The Wire
DRUGS. SCHOOLS. BALTIMORE. CHILLY.

Law and Order SVU
RAPE. MURDER. ASSAULT. NO BANTER.

Grey's Anatomy
DEATH. DEATH. CHEATING. DEATH.

The Sopranos
MAFIA. SHOOTING. STRIPPERS. UNCLES.

The Hills

PLEASE. SHUT. UP. PLEASE.
