I had the pleasure of watching the new American adult/comedy/dramaseries, Californication for the first time last night. If you beenliving in a cave or happened to miss the show, it's based around thelife of Hank Moody (played by David Duchovny) who's a drug and sexaddicted writer/father/ex-husband struggling to get a grip on his life.Solid performance, great writing, plenty of controversy and highlyentertaining.

As i was watching one of the multiple sex scenesfeaturing a gorgeous young woman, Mia who has a fetish for king hittingher partners in the head mid intercourse it struck me that she lookedincredibly familiar. It didn't take long to work out that she was inactual fact the child star actress Madeline Zima whom you might allremember as the youngest daughter Grace Sheffield from the 90's sitcomThe Nanny. For a split second I felt like a dirty old man. Probablynowhere near as dirty as David Duchovny but all the same dirty. I'mover it now though.

I think my momentary lapse must have occured because the charactersplayed by child stars are frozen in time or something or maybe it'sjust the age difference. I remember having a massive crush on AlyssaMylano's character Samantha in Who's the Boss (who was a similar age tome at the time) so when she grew up to be an incredibly beautiful womanit didn't seem that unusual to still find her attractive. Anyway...

Here are some pics of other child stars that have blossomed before our very eyes.
