I was put in touch with the director of the Rose Street Artists Market
a few weeks back when a mutual friend thought that my bike should be
exhibited at their up coming exhibition: Framed 2. I was worried as my
bike was not finished, but never less, the show went on, and I thought
that there would be plenty of GT Pro Freestyle Tour's on show. I was
wrong. What I was also wrong about was the sheer size and quality of
this exhibition, and more importantly the passion that surrounds such a
fantastic hobby that artists, designers, street peeper and web junkies
all seem to love. The art of Old School BMX.
I call it an art because the guys that put these bikes together have to
be artists as no one can spend this amount of time and money on
restoring bikes 20 years old unless they have some artistic flair.
Suffice to say, I was blown away, and shattered that my bike didn't get
finished to make it into the show. I promise that it will make it to
the Framed 3 exhibition in another two years!
