Donald Draper is on his mobile phone. Ken Cosgrove and Harry Crane are watching YouTube on a Mac. Roger Sterling is talking about hi-def widescreen and Joanie is checking emails. It’s Mad Men, but not as you know it.
To celebrate the launch of the fourth season of Mad Men, Rolling Stone sent photographer James Minchin III on set to capture the cast and crew going about their business. Part of a larger feature for the magazine, the photos show a new side to everyone’s favourite advertising agency. A strange rift in the space-time continuum that sees 1960s New York collide with Los Angeles 2K10.
If this were an English lit assignment (or an
Inception FAQ) we might describe the photos as a ‘dream within a dream’. Since it ain’t that kinda party we’re just gonna go with: Mad Men cast smoke herbal cigarettes, look hot, the end.
