Animals aren't immune to the fickle tides of popular culture. Different breeds and novelties fall in and out of favour on a regular basis and anyone serious about staying on the cutting edge has euthanised their share of domestic pets over the years.

Thankfully, things have been less murderous in indie circles. The wolf has reigned supreme for the last decade despite strong competition from owls and alpacas. In that time we've seen countless wolf referencing bands (Wolf n Cub, Guitarwolf, Wolfmother, Wolf Panda!) and a mini-industry based around gaudy tee-shirt and sweater designs.

This remarkable staying power probably comes down to the animal's unobtainable quality. It's one thing to sport an ironically crap wolf tee-shirt, it's quite another to have an actual wolf roaming around your house mauling guests and knocking things over with its ridiculous tail.

There's this husky that sits outside a salon on Chapel St next to the Lee store, it's got the bluest, most beautiful eyes and I just want one roaming around my house mauling guests and knocking things over. Wolk tees are losing ground I reckon, someone needs to really do something radical ( - I don't think I have ever used that word seriously before now) with it. I can't wait to see the next stage in wolf tee evolution! :D - Jake OXOXO

#12: both the lady and the wolf look like they've had too many sherrys.

I agree with GHOSTBUSTA these are awesome, unless now the new buzz word for 'cool' is 'bad taste'. Did I miss the memo or something? that said i hate #13. Stupid manga, it's everywhere....the wolf looks ok but that human looks like a dick.

If I was a design teacher or high-art lecturer, I would have all my students create a piece of wolf art for their end f year folio piece. Seriously, how awesome would that be?!?

i think you can judge how good a movie is going to be by the number of wolves on the cover.

That looks amazing! I love surreal arts. Many people have gazed upon Persistence of Memory, perhaps the most famous surrealist painting in the world. The Persistence of Memory is a painting by Spanish artist Salvador Dali, featuring a number of melting pocket watches. It calls into question the fleeting nature of time, and brings in a wide range of emotion. Dali is perhaps the best known surrealist painter, active from the early 20th century until a few years before his death in the 1980s. He left Spain for about a decade during WW2 – he didn't give Franco any military payday loans – but returned, and was given patronage by the Spanish Crown. It would take more than an online payday loan to buy the Persistence of Memory. http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2009/05/29/persistence-of-memory-google/
