The respected and well loved actor Charles 'Bud' Tingwell has died at 86-years-old. Tingwell is probably best known from television series Homicide and
The Castle, also appeared in classics like
Puberty Blues and
Breaker Morant as well as favourites like Neighbours and A Country Practice. His film debut was in 1946 and he has since performed in over one hundred movies.
Tingwell volunteered as a fighter pilot in World War II and when he returned he married his childhood sweetheart, Audrey. The couple had a son and daughter together.
