When they're not busy splicing and dicing motorbikes together, the guys at Parker Brothers Choppers make dreams come true. Their latest miracle is a fully functional Tron Lightcycle. Created from several lesser bikes, this custom job is, for all intents and purposes, a street legal version of the motorbike you always wanted.
If you're the sort of person who obsessively types 'Tron Lightcycle buy' into Google then you'll know this is the second time the guys have actually done this. And while their first effort looked the part, it still ran on traditional petrol, which wasn't very authentic. This time round the bike runs on electric power. Which is lot more futuristic. And probably better for the environment.
Anyway, since all the bikes in the movies are digital creations, the guys had to spend A LOT of time watching Tron, eating Cheetos and grabbing images in order to create a real world version. As co-owner Jeff Halverson explained, "We basically used the images we could get off the web in order to make the bike. Keep in mind, no one ever made this bike before."
Whatever they did, it certainly looks the part, it does motorbike stuff, and it will set you back around $55 thousand. Obviously money well spent.
