Just in case you felt there weren't enough options for iPod/iPhone speakers on the market at the moment, we introduce Tembo Trunks.
The difference with these speakers are that instead of plugging directly into your phone or mp3 player, you attach your headphones (actually, the ear-bud type) into the speakers. That might sound a bit of a round-about way to amplify your muzaks, but wait; designers (and brothers) Scott and Mike Norrie reckon that they're a killer idea and here's why: they are lightweight and waterproof. They're made from washable silicone rubber which makes them easy to transport and super durable.
The speakers also come in a bunch of different colours, and while they're not loud enough to suffice a frat party they are less clunky than many other iPod speakers on the market – and don't need any batteries.
Soon to be available, but not yet. Tembo Trunks are another clever idea from
the Kickstarter project.
