What do you get when you combine Sneaker Freaker, the world’s largest Pumas, UK sneaker customiser Nash Money and MF DOOM? A match made in blunted heaven. Also, a set of customised speakers. Sneaker speakers
As far as we can tell, the guys over at Sneaker Freaker were bored one day, called up Nash Money and said “Hey, let’s do a collaboration.” Two days later, what was originally supposed to be a low-key project had someone morphed into a set of custom built speakers inside the world’s largest Pumas. Also, MF DOOM was on board and emailing through demands for ‘sci-fi and laser guns!’ + ‘mad villain shit!’ + ‘comics and chrome’.
The project took seven weeks to put together and was presented to DOOM during his recent UK tour. With all sorts of lasers and lighting effects, top shelf woofers, an LCD display and an actual ignition switch, DOOM was suitably impressed by the
gift. “Oh man, check it out! With the metal wires coming out and the overall specs, I mean it just looks bonkers!”
If you have a whole lot of money you can probably hit up Nash Money
for you own customised sneaker speakers. Or, alternatively, cram some cheap computer sneakers inside a pair of shoes. (But that’s not nearly as impressive.)
