Usually this moi would believe that minimalism is over-rated. (More is more in the realms of accessories, books, friends, art, songs and burritos.) Joey Roth's
ceramic speakers, however, are minimalism at its best.
The speakers are made from porcelain and Baltic birch plywood, with a few bits and pieces from cork, aluminum and cast iron; they're compatible with PCs, laptops, mp3 players and turntables. But they don't just look good, these are some fancy sounding speakers: "The speakers' custom-made drivers, porcelain and cork enclosures, and Tripath amplifier reveal every nuance [of a song]. They will show the difference between lossless and mp3 files, and will unlock vinyl’s richness."
Just a few pieces involved, natural plywood, organic shapes; it's all pretty simple, minimal and stylish. Maybe sometimes less really could be more.
