Apple has officially unveiled the newest addition to its iPhone range; the 4S. New H.N.I.C. Tim Cook showed off the latest model at Apple’s Cupertino conference to (what we assume) was loud ‘whooping’ from sweaty fanboys.
If you’re the sort of person who hangs out on dedicated tech blogs you’ll probably be aware that Apple has ‘jammed a dual-core A5 CPU’ and ‘a new dual-core GPU’ into the phone and that this ‘boosts graphics performance by up to 7x'.
Also, they’ve fixed the previous antenna problem, and there’s an 8-megapixel camera (which only needs 1.1 seconds to start taking compromising photos of your friends). The phone can record video in 1080p and they have this thing called a Siri Virtual Assistant that allows you start barking orders into the phone and it does them.
To quote to the late, great Biggie Smalls: “If don’t know, now you know.”
(Serious question though – do you think Biggie would have gone with Android or iPhone if he were alive today? And to expand on that, if both Tupac and Biggie were alive today, which one would be an iPhone and which would be an Android. Questions!)
Back in the real world: the new 4S is seen as more of an ‘evolution’ of the current model. A chance for Apple to test the waters before it tries to beat Samsung (currently #1 in the Android market) back into submission. Thing is, online response to the new model has been pretty ‘meh’, What do y’all think?
