Jody Rogac is all about the portraits. The Brooklyn-based photographer creates images that are full of intimacy, but as the same time allow a polite distance; sounds weird but her portraits of creatives such as Jemima Kirke and Waris Ahluwalia really speak for themselves.

Rogac's work is all about soft, natural light and a really stripped down, natural aesthetic. We've only included her location portraits, but head to her website for her similarly beautiful studio shots.

Three years out of Pasadena's Art Center College of Design with a BFA in Illustration, artist Jesse Fillingham is filling his portfolio with the most excellent tripped-out, psychedelic paintings we've seen in a while. His cosmically inclined musings on the relationship between organic and synthetic work nicely with the Mad Magazine-esque characters of his world. It's the kind of stuff that would spark amazing conversation and the blowing of minds after a Camberwell Carrot or two.
