Steve Gourlay is pretty much Australia's lead skate photographer. But he also takes photos of things that aren't even a little bit related to skating too – animals, caravans, hardware stores, daily life bits and pieces. Judging by his portraits, Gourlay knows plenty of dudes – there are lots of playful shots of fellas causing a ruckus.
With a fabulous eye for detail and a pointer finger that is always at the ready – Gourlay's images prove the old cliche that every picture tells a story.
