Remi Thornton's night photography collection
Stills is almost the epitome of proper creepy; otherwise completely normal, harmless and wholesome places that look eerily hostile in the dark. Everything from Ferris Wheels to lifeguard towers to barns and road signs end up looking like scenes from horror movies and you're just waiting for a dark shadow to sneak into frame, stab somebody and scream, "I'm going to gorge on your soul!". Or something like that.
Thornton says "What I'm capturing is not complex, and not completely conceptual; it's pure, simple and eerily beautiful." After studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, Thornton has gone on to have exhibitions (both solo and group) and has other collections of images that are equally ominous and quiet.
