Deirdre O'Callaghan has taken photos everywhere of everybody; music, fashion, editorial, portraits, couples in Rio, the West Memphis Three, Emily Blunt, Abbie Cornish... This is a woman who took a beautiful (yes, beautiful) photo of Jordan.
One of her most intriguing photo essays is the
Crazy Horse series. O'Callaghan has taken a mixture of candid, behind-the-scenes photos as well as fabulous shots of performances at the infamous strip club. Instead of composing and timing her photos to make the photos the sordid, scandalous, voyeuristic kind they could have been, O'Callaghan's images are sensitive and insightful. The ladies are still sexy, but that's not all they are.
