So I have been banging on for a couple of months now about the 'in-betweeners' as I call them. The new wave of cameras that sit very, very nicely between the high end, expensive professional 'grade' of SLRs and the point and shoot cameras that everyone else uses. As reported in the past, you only every had two choices, lug around the bain of your existence to parties etc with a big backpack of very expensive equipment, or throw a small crap quality point 'n shoot in your pocket and risk looking like an amateur.
Well look no further, I finally got to put my hands on an Olympus Pen due to them very kindly supporting Lifelounge as an advertiser (thanks guys!) and also through being able to see the amazing works that professional photographers and awesome peeps Â
Steve Gourlay,Â
Cybele Malinowski andÂ
Joseph Allen Shea are able to produce with them in their hands while blogging for us.
Apart from the obvious, the camera itself feels incredible. Solid metal in your hands with interchangeable lenses, which we LOVE. The flat 17mm is amazing for shooting ANYTHING and is by far my favorite.
