A lot of you thought that
Lindsay Lohan's attempt at chanelling Marilyn was a little less Monroe and a little more drag queen. Now Michael Musto has thrown his hat (and his undies) into the ring.
Musto, a writer for The Village Voice has written a smart and fabulously venomous article about today's young female celebrities "titting it up" in a mostly classless way, all the while convincing us that they are actually selling their latest film, single, fragrance, or whatever. He's also posed nude a la Lindsay "Somebody look at me! Love me! Please!" Lohan mimicking Monroe's famous last photo shoot for the New Yorker.
Basically, he looks as much like Miss Monroe as Lohan did. Which isn't a whole lot.
Check out his clever and very funny article at
villagevoice.com.
Meanwhile, if Michael Musto still isn't your hero, here's the clincher: Musto coined the word 'celebutard' (which is a conjoin of 'celebrity' and 'debutante' and 'retard') in order to describe the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Here at Lifelounge, we usually just used the words 'dumb street whores', but Musto's creation is a keeper!
