It isn’t that up-and-coming UK-based photographer Kate Cox does anything wildly inventive or mind-blowing with her shots. It’s more that she gets it right at a surprisingly consistent rate. Keeping it mad simple, Kate Cox frames her gorgeously leggy vixens with over-exposed lighting and catches them with the perfect amount of suggestiveness – a downright sexy blend of teenage innocence and “god damn, fuck me now” eyes. Oh yeah, there’s also the occasional boob, and nothing screams, “Hot!” louder than a wonderfully shaped bare breast. Apparently Vice, Ponytail, Ligature Magazine, and her other clients share the same sentiment.
There’s no crazy theatrics, over-production, or super hot lights. Most of Cox’s flicks rely on whatever’s readily available, which means plenty of shots are done in actual bedrooms and with whatever lighting that happens to makes its way through the window (which might not be so much at times, considering she is based in the UK – a region ostensibly forgotten by the sun gods). In other words, it’s kinda like she catches her friends smack dab in the act of dress-up rather than stiffly posing and styling them to hell and back, which in this day and age of Photoshop and affordable equipment is really, really refreshing.
