Jeff Bark's Flesh Rainbow mixes manufactured light and a sinister undertone with traditional and classical tinges his photographs are a little bit spectacular. They are part traditional nudes, part still life, part something other-worldly.
The still life photographs in the collection are treated so similarly to his portraits – some of the portraits even include objects likely seen in other shots – that the lines are blurred. Many of the New Yorker's images are traditionally beautiful, ugly, sexualised or fetishised and provokes the viewer to rethink their definition of all of the above.
