There's an honesty, a grittiness and an undeniable beauty in the work
of Canadian photographer Gordon Ball. What began as a casual habit of
taking photos of his mates skating, getting wasted, skinny dipping and
generally having a good ole time has fast developed into a professional
photography career that many in the game would be envious of. His
commercial clients include the likes of Audi, Nike, MTV, Island/Def
Jam, I could literally go on all day. In saying that it's mostly his
non commissioned work that interests me. There's a healthy dose of grain, a great use of colour, light and composition combined with capturing moments that will make you smile... a good combo really. Pictured to the right of this
