Hiroshi Nonami's photography is pretty awesome; women covered in leaves, blooming from plants, looking mythical and magical and all kinds of beautiful. But then the photos become all the more amazing when you realise that he never uses Photoshop or computers or any technology at all. Bullshit, you say? It's true, it's all just crazy creative cleverness; like letting mould grow over a lens, or stacking lots of slides on top of each other. Impressed much? You are.
Nomami is a Japanese artist who has published a book (which took five years to complete; but fair enough, since he has to wait for that mould and stuff) and he prides himself on doing what others create with Photoshop, but by hand.
