Photographer Alison Jackson, seemingly has access to some of the most
private moments of some of the most public people. She manages to
capture the unimaginable, like images of The Queen on the toilet and
Bush and Blair sharing a sauna together but all is not as it seems.
Alison has cheekily employed the services of look-a-like actors to
represent "fake" but strangely believable scenarios which she then photographs in a voyeuristic fashion. Clever.
"Powerful images dominate the world. Pictures of celebrities who have
reached the status of icons or demons. They are news—whether they are
the Royal Family, Madonna, Posh and Becks or Britney Spears. This news
becomes intrigue; it becomes difficult to differentiate between what is
real and what is fantasy, what is important and what is not." - Alison
