After looking at Baldovino Barani's fashion editorial, so much other fashion photography looks lazy; relying on super hot models and clothes to do all the work. Mr Barani's photography (while obviously focusing on the fashion) makes the environment, light and colour all central characters of their own.
The series
Sanctuary was shot this year, God know where, but it's magical. The beautiful graveyard, plants and filtered light are stunning, and then there's the clothes. Massive swathes of bright, billowing dresses make the series look as though they're film stills or images from a fairytale. Ridiculous and gorgeous.
