California-based photographer Danielle Levitt travels the United States taking photos of people. Her book project We Are Experienced is a gorgeous collection of teenagers without categorising or stereotying them as many people – and teen movies – want to (jocks, cheerleaders, stoners, goths, nerds, blah blah bored). Instead she depicts each subject sensitively, thoughtfully and very tellingly. Each image purveys that strange and delicate in between-ness of adolescence.
