The members of the grotesque and extremist musical genre that has
emerged from Norway over the last 20 years Black Metal, are an intimidating bunch. Adorning themselves in a mixture of satanic/pagan symbols, face paint, faux blood and more spikes than Pinhead, they easily rival most horror film bogeymen in shock value any day of the week.
Unfortunately some of them have taken the whole I love Satan thing a little too far though. In the early to mid 90s it's reported that particular members of this subculture completely lost their shit and went on a rampage of desecrating graveyards, burning down churches and even committing murder... definitely not the type of dudes you'd want your daughter/sister/friend bringing home to meet the family. Fascinating to look at in a National geographic kind of way though don't you think.
