Purposely disfigured faces, naked bodies bent into toe-curling shapes and demonically painted faces are just some of the striking images Italian-born photographer Manuel Vason conjures up in his work. A graduate of London's Central Saint Martins art college, the majority of Vason's shots are the result of a fascination with the human body and in particular, its relationship with performance. There is a strong sense of action within much of his photography, often carrying with it a slightly violent undertone. You kinda don't feel safe looking at 'em, like just in case when you look away something really bad might happen to the people inside them...creepy...
