Tanner Almon is a filmmaker, writer, poet and photographer who also likes "cloudy days, staring into fish tanks, and the east coast weather in October". His lo-fi brand of imagery is a little oddball and cute, and full of people wearing funny masks, hats and animal ears. His portfolio is sizable and a pleasure to look through – there are little love-story narratives, street/documentary-style projects, portraits and some intimate and sensitive voyeuristic images. Almon seems like a bit of a character too, his MyDailyJournalThing was a blog full of his daily doodles, and there's a section of his website where his mum reviews his photos. We don't love the word 'whimsical', but it could almost be used here. More at tanneralmon.com.
