In the ‘60s, photographer Ralph Gibson did a whole lot of travelling. From San Francisco to New York, Ralph epitomised that nomadic spirit all young artists seemed to be into then (and which many artists today try to recreate). Having learned how to use a camera in the Navy, Ralph took photos of social groups, different cityscapes and movements, and our favourite series in his vast collection are the photographs he made of his home state, LA.
