Last time we featured Canadian photographer Lincoln Clarkes, it was back in 2010 with his series Heroines: A Photographic Obsession; an intimate look into the desperate lives of downtown Vancouver's female heroin addicts. This time round, still with a female portrait theme, we've chosen Clarkes' series Portraits of Women in Texas with their Guns. From the woman who looks like the gym teacher from Glee draped only in a towel and clutching her revolver, to the windswept young girl on her porch, arms wrapped around a hunting rifle, Clarkes' given us the chance to gaze through a frank and unglamorous window into the world of average women just hanging out with their Magnums, semi-automatic machine guns and AK-47s.
