Take a deep breath before you look through this gallery, it's incredibly distressing. Photographer Paul Fusco (who began photography in 1945) created the series Chernobyl Legacy, which is heartbreaking, haunting and powerful. The series begins somewhat gently; with buildings and people tending to gardens, then there are images of people who have been left limbless, children who suffer mental disabilities, babies with physical deformities, mothers crying.
