Austrian photographer Klaus Pichler has a portfolio brimming at the edges. His prison tattoo project, Inked For Life (Fürs Leben Gezeichnet), is possibly his most fascinating. Very simply a series of images of men with prison tattoos, it's also a lot more. Most of the images are of older men, whose slightly wrinkled skin, paunches, glassy eyes and sometimes sad facial expressions make each image (ironically) more than skin deep. More at kpic.at.
