John Stezaker works scissors like a stalker

British artist John Stezaker is a collector and master of appropriation. Through the handcraft act of splicing together portions of completely unrelated found photographs from books, postcards, vintage magazines and the like, he's created bizarre, witty and sometime disturbing new images which take on a completely different meaning from their original counterparts. His work combines everything from production stills and celebrity portraiture from another era to African artifacts and exotic landscapes. Pay your respects to Mr Stezaker.

"Working scissors like a stalker" makes for a creepy mental picture. Awesome images nonetheless.

i thought it sounded a little more interesting than "working scissors like a photo collage artist". I actually think a stalker would be a little more anal in the way they cut their photos. Catchy headline though no?
