Bill Ray's images of the notoriously notorious biker gang the Hells Angels makes them look like quite harmless. It's weird. Maybe it's the vintage-vibed clothing and hairstyles seem so kistch now, but make no mistake; these dudes were heavy. In 1965 TIME magazine sent photographer Bill Ray and writer Joe Bride to hang out with these menacing, law-breaker rebels. These incredibly photographs are (half of) the result. It's strange to think the these seemingly carefree hoodlums are actually much more than that: actually scary motherfuckers.
