Alex Prager, thank you. The immensely talented photographer has just unveiled her latest project Compulsion. Prager has a most incredible gift for creating images that is both dramatic and cinematic; Juxtapoz puts it best, stating her photography is "part film noir, part Wizard of Oz circa 2025". Further, there is a constant sense that something is looming just out of view – potentially sinister, or just strange – the scene is entirely loaded. Compulsion is Prager at her best; digitally manipulated images of houses and cars sinking into an abyss, damsels in distress, and strange scenes that are overflowing with odd subtext.
