The Burning House is a website dedicated to a question: what items would you save if your house was burning down? People from all over the world have gathered up their necessary items (which, conveniently, are very aesthetically pleasing), taken a photo and posted them online. Along with the pictures, people are required to list the items and explain why they would save them from a fiery inferno. Intended to be "an interview condensed into one question" not only does the website generate some beautiful images, but it also reveals a lot about human nature. Family heirloom kilts make the cut, as do laptops, Vans and (only in one) a baby. We like that heaps of people claim they would save their entire LP collection to help them survive in the wild. Because even Bear Grylls likes a little easy listening, ya know? More at theburninghouse.com.
