Ben Aqua's portraits are a little chicken and egg – is he taking semi-kooky photographs of normal people, or normal photographs of oddballs? Our theory is that the two meet halfway in the middle. Aqua's keen eye for composition and colour, and the use of props, make his portraits telling and intriguing. Also, they make you want to redecorate, but that's probably not the point.
