Down near the beach at Bondi lives a very talented photographer named Akila Berjaoui. For the last three years, her earthy, natural and very Australian style of fashion photography has captured the attention of everyone from fashion house Ellery to Fallen magazine. Akila is influenced by the stripped down (no pun intended) images of scantily clad ladies in '60s and '70s Playboys, who unlike the Playmates now were rarely cosmetically enhanced, but instead had little make up (and clothes) and just sort laid about on the beach/ on mountains / in pools / on beds. Her photos are beautiful, simple and will leave you hankering for a cigarette after. More at akilaberjaoui.com.
