Flicking through the portfolio of French photographer/artist Vincent Fournier and you might believe his images have been beamed back to earth from the future or are scenes taken from other planets and galaxies. In the series Big Space his alien looking landscape photos include scenes from the strikingly martian Moon Valley in Chile, the chilling space observatories of Norway, and futuristic architectural structures from the USA. Although the series Beautiful World depicts scenes of the everyday hustle and bustle of urban life on Earth, these also appear as if they're captured from some kind of lonely alternate universe. How does he do it? Definitely one of my favourite photographers around. More at vincentfournier.co.uk.
