MIA and Blaqstarr 'Way Down in the Hole'

The busiest non-retiree ever, baby-maker and musical goddess M.I.A. has teamed up with previous collaborator Blaqstarr for this incredibly low budget video for their version of 'Way Down in the Hole' which is the theme song for The Wire. It's a cover of Tom Waits' 1987 gospel-, soul-, and blues-influenced song and M.I.A. and Blaqstarr wanted to do a "Baltimore version". The whole idea made us a little cringe-happy. But maybe we were wrong.
