Simian Mobile Disco

Simian Mobile Disco The story goes that as their psychedelic indie band Simian ground to a halt, Jas Shaw and James Ford turned their passion for mind controlling dance floor punters from an after-gig hobby into a day job. Since then they’ve been bringing wide-eyed grins to Gen Y party animals through their instantly infectious dance floor party anthems. These tracks are built with the bricks and mortar of much-loved musical eras of the yesteryear, namely rave, post-punk, electro, ghetto tech, and hip-hop. As the The Klaxons, and The Presets come at this scene as bands with synths and Macs, Simian Mobile Disco come at it as DJ-slash-producers with pop nous and a mixed bag full of guest vocalists. ‘Hustler’ and ‘Hot Dog’, for example, undeniably pump electro-bass booty; while ‘I believe’ and ‘Love’ sound like, but surpass, any new wave remix currently on the circuit. Attack Decay Sustain Release has spunk and will happily introduce rockers to the shuffle and ravers to break dancing, all in the one big sweaty nightclub.
