Midnight Juggernauts

Midnight Juggernauts It seems like forever since Melbournians Andy and Vincent aka Midnight Juggernauts blessed us with the presence of their first EP Raised by Wolves, introducing us to a world of Moroder-esque soundscapes that immediately sparked our attention and left us hankering for more. A couple of years and another EP later, Midnight Juggernauts have been working their fingers to the bone, managing to garner some serious attention overseas off the back of heavy touring schedules and a second EP Secrets of the Universe, as well as an abundance of remixes, only increasing the anticipation for their evasive debut LP. Now, with new recruit Daniel Stricker joining the line up, the debut has finally dropped in the form of Dystopia, a synth-fuelled excursion into a dark, cinematic world of futurist fantasy, with hints of Bowie, M83 and Air all apparent. A stunning record, Dystopia flows from one surreal track to the next, with the resonance of a film score that could have been produced in 1981 or somewhere in the distant future, giving it a sense of timelessness achieved by few. Dystopia will be independently released through Siberia Records via Inertia on 4 August 2007.
