The introduction to N*E*R*D's album,
Seeing Sounds, is a voice-over of Pharrell reminiscing about his childhood and how at 7-years-old he began seeing sounds. Like other creative clever cookies throughout time, it's believed that Williams has synesthesia, a condition which means a bunch of different things to different people. To some, a number might have a specific odour, a day of the week might have a particular personality or, as in Williams' case, you might see colours instead of solely hearing music, like us mortals. Interesting, no?
