From the
Gang War compilation, Damian 'Junior Gong' Marley's 'One Loaf of Bread' is smothered in religion, military tattoo-esque percussion, sweet-faced children in slums, and Marley makes no excuses for his super obvious message.
The song's theme is not a new one – nobody cares about the poor people anymore. The footage of Marley (pretty much never without a joint in hand or mouth) supports the lyrics' notion that he cares; especially when he stands in front of a spotlight which creates a not-so-subtle halo.
The video, shot on super 8mm film, was shot in Haiti and South Africa and was made by Jason Goldwatch who has previously made music videos for Jay-Z and Dilated Peoples.
