Possibly, maybe, apparently brand new Daft Punk

There have been a few Tron Legacy (AKA Tron II) lies floating around the interwebs recently, so don't petrol bomb the Lifelounge offices if this one turns out to be a mistake too.

French duo Daft Punk have been making tunes (apparently they've recorded over 20 of them) for the upcoming film and this is the most recent to have been leaked into cyberspace. It's also one that hasn't been debunked immediately. So it could be faux real.

'The Crash' certainly seems kind of soundtrack-ish and its 80s-inspired tinges makes the 12 minute track sound like something you could bang while riding on your cyber-neon-future-tech-mainframe-lightcycle.

Definately sounds like something I'd listen to whilst riding my hovercraft. It sounds a little bit too 'soaring euphoric trance' (or whatevs) to be Daft Punk, but who knows?

Ricardinho totally computes this film and the evolution of Daft Punk from french house grimes to modern sci-fi cosmos beat! got that whole Jean Michel Jarre/Lindstrom feeling .. With the new Tron, i think the sound scape alone will blow my sockets off!
