Love a little bit of Gnarls Barkley. Partly because of Cee-Lo's voice, partly because of Danger Mouse's complete nonchalance, partly because of the syrupy sweet fabulousness that was 'Smiley Faces', and partly because they like to play dress-ups. (It's impossible to forget the somewhat portly Cee-Lo at last year's
V Festival in a school uniform. Short shorts and everything).
The duo is back with their album
The Odd Couple set for release in April. But we have the lead single for your to listen to now. It's called 'Run' and it sounds very, very Gnarls Barkley-ish; the samples pay homage to Motown and old school soul, it's full of crazy energy, and some fairly speedy vocals.
Listen to the sneaky leaked lead single 'Run':
Meanwhile, just to prove that Gnarls Barkley are far from flawless, apparently Mr Cee-Lo was (at least in part) responsible for the travesty that was 'Don't Cha?' by the Pussytwat Girls. Upsetting.
